Many happenings

Many days have passed since I last wrote and I must admit my postings may be fewer as I find I have terrible wrist pain when using the lap top (even after 5 minutes). I am looking into changing keyboard use and employing a mouse instead of the touch pad ... we'll see how it goes.

What has been happening? Plenty, here it is in brief.

Above is a photo I took with the sun setting on a spider's web at the cottage. My darling and I had a wonderful, relaxing break there over the long weekend.

I'm making great progress on the block of the month quilt. Here is the first block part-way through when lots of decision making occurs, and below, looking a bit washed out, it is completed and pinned to the back of a lounge chair. The class is tonight and I still haven't quite finished the journal entries which we also need to do.

My darling and I have been accepted to join a Habitat for Humanity, Global Village team building in southern Hungary. This will be during our long service leave (4th term) and we're very excited.

To reduce debt (we're feeling a little uncomfortable carrying a number of mortgages), we believed we should sell our two investment properties. The first sold within days of being advertised and the second less than a week later. We are very thank for God's guidance regarding these sales.

My Dad turned 80 during the week - what an achievement - and we happily celebrated dear daughter's birthday on the weekend - what a joy family is. Our boys are both courting lovely young ladies and are busy with their studies as well. We are a cheerful, thankful household. We feel very blessed.
