Holiday happenings

The holidays have ended and term 2 has started. I feel refreshed and with autumn here and such beautiful days it is actually quite hard to get back into the routine of school.

We enjoyed our Easter break and during the time attended two lovely weddings. Dear daughter and her prince were the Maid of Honour and Best Man for one couple so we looked after little Belle, trying to keep her Mum and Dad out of her line of sight during the service.

The postponed celebrations for my birthday from last year took place on the Tram Car Restaurant and a wonderful evening was enjoyed by all as we ate a delicious meal while travelling through the streets of the inner city, St. Kilda and Port Melbourne.

We spent quite a bit of time at the cottage and went on some wonderful walks through the countryside - including a night walk. We had to keep the dogs on leashes as we would have no hope if Jessie decided to go down a wombat hole in the dark. The second block of the quilt is almost finished and I so enjoyed sewing on my old hand-turned machine that I keep at the cottage especially as the view through the window is the one you see above, heading 'Ambling Along', currently attired in all its autumn finery ... lovely.
